DALLAS (AP) Gay massage room providers in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area are getting ready to open their doors for business, but not everyone is happy about the move.
Gay-themed massage rooms are set to open to the public in the downtown area of the Dallas area by the end of March.
They will be operated by The Hot Dog and Tea, which also specializes in gay and lesbian massage.
The hot dog and tea will operate the first massage room in the city in more than a decade.
The company’s owners say the move will bring some diversity to the gay and lesbians community.
The Hot Dogs and Tea opened in Denton, Texas, in 1998.
The company’s founder, Jim Cavanaugh, says the company has welcomed many gay and transgender clients.
Cavanaugh says gay and trans people are more comfortable than the average person, and they feel more comfortable being treated in a friendly and welcoming environment.
